At their March 2020 Board meeting Trustees considered applications received from six clubs.

Clubs were asked to apply under two main priorities; Priority 1:  improved capability, support and retention and Priority 2: Increased opportunities for participation.

Trustees awarded grants to the following clubs:

Greytown Cricket Club – $3,750 – training sessions for players and coaches with local professional cricket player Seth Rance (due to various unforeseen circumstances this activity did not eventuate and funds were not requested)

Greytown Netball Club – $1,300 awarded – uniforms for additional senior team for 2020 competitions.  Due to various savings Netball only requested $671 of the funding available.

Greytown Junior Football Club – $2,803 awarded – coaching courses.  A total of $2,690 was claimed from the Club out of the budgeted amount awarded.

Greytown Swimming Club – $760 – coaching courses

Wairarapa Spitfires Baseball Club – $975 – uniform for new U16 team.  Plus $800 to assist with coaching costs.  (due to Covid this coaching activity did not eventuate and funds were not requested)

Greytown Tennis Club $1,200 for coaching costs and $2,609 to assist with costs for an existing young Greytown based coach to gain an internationally recognised junior tennis coaching qualification.
